Privacy Policy
How we handle information in connection with this website.
Last updated 2 August 2026
This policy explains how Midgard Scientific, LLC (“Midgard Scientific,” “we,” “us”) handles information in connection with midgardscientific.com (the “Site”). It applies to the Site only. Information you give us in the course of an inspection, consulting, or training engagement is governed by the written agreement covering that work.
Information we collect
Information you choose to send us
This Site does not host a contact form. If you contact us using the email address or telephone number published here, we receive whatever you choose to include — typically your name, company, email address, telephone number, and a description of your project or enquiry. We ask you not to send confidential, proprietary, or export-controlled technical information by unencrypted email until we have a written agreement in place.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider records standard server and request logs, which generally include IP address, browser type and version, referring page, pages requested, and the date and time of the request. These logs are used to operate and secure the Site, not to build a profile of you.
Cookies and tracking
We do not set cookies on this Site, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or retargeting trackers. The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google’s servers and Google may log that request, including your IP address. That processing is governed by Google’s own privacy policy. If you would prefer to avoid it, most browsers and privacy extensions can block third-party font requests.
How we use information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the quote, scope, or information you requested
- To perform, administer, and document services you engage us for
- To operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site
- To meet legal, regulatory, contractual, and record-retention obligations, including those applicable to nondestructive testing records and personnel certification
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising purposes. We disclose information only in these circumstances:
- Service providers. Vendors who operate the Site and our business systems — such as website hosting and email — acting on our instructions.
- Your direction. Where you ask us to share results, reports, or certifications with a client, prime contractor, auditor, or regulator.
- Legal requirement. Where required by law, subpoena, court order, or government or contractual audit, including obligations arising from government and defense work.
- Business transfer. In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
Data retention
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose it was sent, and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records. Inspection records, procedures, and personnel certification records are retained for the periods required by the applicable code, contract, or regulation — which in some cases is considerably longer.
Security
We apply reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and email in particular is not a secure channel. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to us at the address below and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity first, and we may need to retain information where a legal, contractual, or record-retention obligation requires it. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state or national privacy law.
Children
The Site is directed to businesses and professionals. It is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
The Site may link to third-party websites and standards bodies. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, and this policy does not apply to them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be reflected here, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
