About

Formed to do NDT properly.

Midgard Scientific, LLC was founded to provide first-class nondestructive testing — not just inspectors for hire, but the procedures, training, and program discipline that make an inspection mean something.

Our background

Military inspection roots

Our leadership and technical staff came up through military nondestructive inspection and nuclear programs across the service branches, then spent years in civilian NDT before forming Midgard. That combination shows up in how we work: military documentation discipline applied to commercial deadlines.

Quality workmanship, standards compliance, and rigorous record keeping are the core of it. The NDT industry has spent a long time on paper and antiquated data collection — we would rather help move it forward than defend the way it has always been done.

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

Midgard Scientific is owned and operated by military veterans and retirees from across the service branches, and is registered as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and Self-Certified Small Disadvantaged Business.

Core values

How we decide things

  • Integrity

Reputation is everything. A reputation that took years to build can be undone by one lapse in judgement. Nobody is perfect, but we do what's right whether or not anyone is watching.

  • Service

Client relationships matter. Whether you need Level II support for a single job or full Responsible Level III consultation, the client's requirement comes first.

  • Excellence

We begin with quality, then improve. We would rather finish a few jobs to a high standard than spread thin across many. The goal is to get it right the first time.

  • Success

Fortune favors the bold. Every job gets treated as the most important one we've had. Doing things the same way purely because that's how they've been done is not a strategy.

02

03

Education

Classroom and on-site training at your facility or ours, delivered by certified Level III instructors, through examination and certification.

Veterans

Transitioning out of the service?

The military trains members in multiple NDT methods, then posts them where they may use only some of them. It's common to build deep experience in a few methods while going years without touching others — and to lose the paperwork proving any of it.

We can help close those gaps. If you're a veteran or currently serving and you need to refresh existing NDT knowledge, add formal training hours, or recover and verify prior service training records, get in touch. If you're an employer hiring a veteran and can't make sense of a cryptic military training history, we can help with that too.

Let's talk about your program

Whether it's one inspection or an entire NDT program that needs building from scratch, start with a conversation.
